Project
Uuskunft.
"Uuskunft" means "information": the platform for citizens' questions about parliament and legislation.
What it is about
Understanding politics — with open sources
"Uuskunft" is Swiss dialect and means "information" — the platform for citizens' questions. Want to know something about how parliament works? How this or that law came about? Our in-house AI continuously sifts, analyses and processes data from parliament, from public sources and from specific requests to municipalities, cantons and the federal government.
Open and transparent: everyone may — and should — get insight into the data sources. If we cannot find the answer in our data, we ask. The transparency we Swiss deserve.
Uuskunft is built on a simple conviction: political information belongs to everyone. That is why we disclose where our answers come from — source by source.

How Uuskunft works
Ask. Look up. Follow up.
- Ask — you ask your question about how parliament works or how a law came about.
- Look up — our AI searches parliamentary data and public sources and shows what the answer is based on.
- Follow up — if we cannot find the answer in our data, we ask municipalities, cantons and the federal government.
